I was taught the wristy swing but moved away from it. Now I'm 72 I'm looking to go back to it as I've had a few injuries and think there is less stress on the body. I think one of the biggest things is to ensure you barely hold the club.

This lesson helped me, as a 27 HCP'er, so much. It absolutly works. Have a mindset of: You are not a pro, take it as it comes, relax and let it loose. Thank you so much. 😀👍

Great tip! Long ago and far away my teacher taught me to move the strike point of the club head back from the ball the shorter the distance to the hole and use a more full swing. It worked for me after getting used to the different philosophy

Best lesson you have taught. I went to the range right after watching and it was awesome. This got rid of all swing thoughts. Creates a straight ball flight. I have watched hundreds of UA-cam videos and this one is the most helpful for me. Simple is best!

I am a 73yr old male. I have been playing golf since i was about 12yrs old. I have had the occasional pro lesson but most of the time i have watched and practiced pro lessons off You Tube. It’s not until now, the art of simple golf has made my swing feel so much more simple, relaxed and natural. Thanks. John NZ.

Excellent points Alex on not being static and restrictive in the golf swing! I agree with you that if you don't have movement in your feet and legs, the lower body will not react. As you say, "the lower body will move with the feet." I also agree with you when you say that lifting the left heal on the back swing will give you a deeper turn with the right side. Well Done As Always Alex!

A golf instructor tried teaching me this a number of years ago, but I never got the hang of it. This video might help me learn it.

I started playing golf a year ago at 48 years old. I thought I had a nice relaxed grip, stance and generally easy swing and then I let everyone get inside my head to change things. Now it's a mess. This video helps me go back to how I felt in the beginning. Thank you.

Such a joy to find this video! I am a 1 handicap and all I think about is flicking my wrists back, and flicking them through. It’s everything every teacher tells you not to do, but I put my consistency up against anybody’s. My ball flight is incredibly straight, and all I think about is the wrists. Specifically my right wrist. I flick it back as if I’m going to skim a stone across some water and then I flick it through with the same motion. No thought about shoulder turn or hip turn or what the bodies doing or any of that! I don’t think about my grip or where the club is at any point in my swing. Again, just flick it back and flick it through with the right wrist. No, I don’t get any that hook left. Maybe it’s my timing or whatever, but everything is just straight. It’s a joy to swing this way and it takes all the other thoughts out of play. I was really happy to find this video this morning. Thank you very much.

Interesting. I spray the ball all over the place, so I was experimenting at the driving range today. I've used an overlapping grip for years on all my clubs except the driver, where somewhere along the line an instructor told me to use a baseball grip on it. I hit the driver fairly well, so I tried the baseball grip on my shorter clubs, and I thought I made better contact. While looking for UA-cam thoughts on the matter, I found this video, and it goes along with what I thought earlier today. I'll keep experimenting. Thanks for the video. I'm 69.
